Starting a Blog

Starting a business can be quite a challenge.  The type of person willing to try something unique and independent like a business startup probably is the type of person that could create a great business blog.

Now, a business blog should be much more than a marketing blog.  Imagine that there are actually people – yes this means customers, potential customers, employees, vendors, suppliers, and business affiliates and partners that decide they’d like your take on the industry once a week.

Think about your blog as a summary of an insightful conversation that you have at a breakfast conference during your industries annual conference.  You are the moderator, the editor, and we want to hear what your take on the state of the industry is every week.

We have just finished the update of our blog startup forum.  This is a Vanilla forum which means its primary focus is the latest thread based on the “discussion view” but can also be navigated from the categories link.

New Bloggers Help Forum

We hope this will become a good resource for asking those questions that you thought “everyone should know” or even some of the really tough ones.

For those of you that are pretty comfortable blogging now, perhaps you remember a few simple questions that cost you hours of banging your head against the wall.  Write it up and save someone else from the same pain.  We hope that some other blog experts will register and help us with the tough questions.  Even with several hundred visitors a day to our site, it’s always hard to get the initial questions and posts going.

I kept the original blog start-up posts I had created earlier this year before we had the blog help forum finished and linked properly.
