Blog startup resources and observations on starting your own blog
I enjoyed this Pureblogging.com guest post by Michael Martine (http://remarkablogger.com/) found on Digg as it gives new bloggers a great perspective of how to view the type of blog posts they may want to write. This also demonstrates the fact that while choosing your blog style and content niche you are likely to be much more successful if you choose a blog subject that you can write as an expert.
There are certainly blogs that are story and opinion related that don’t require an expert knowledge base but readers are always seeking information about topics that come from authors who are familiar with the scope of the subject.
“If you want to be an expert in something, it takes dedication and a lot of work. If you want to be known as an expert in something, you also have to know how present yourself as one. Bloggers who are known experts write in way that enforces that image. There are 5 basic types of posts that experts write, and you can apply these to your own blogging”
Even if you’re learning about your topic as you blog, you can share what you find interesting and share why this is interesting to you based on your own perspective.
As your blog matures, you’ll likely want to write blog posts that are in category defined in this expert blog post.
The 'Starting a Blog' blog provides tips and observations related to the site purpose of providing new blog startups with information about beginning a blog. This blog is also utilized to demonstrate recommendations and ideas. Blogs are also becoming excellent personal, business, and corporate communication tools. Come learn with us!

Your post raises a good point. I prefer blogs with a focus, rather than random musing, ramblings, etc. When I see those words in a blog header, I hit next.
