Blog startup resources and observations on starting your own blog
One of the best parts about customizing your blog is the selection of your blog template. There are many free blog templates that can get you started if you’re just experimenting. The blog template can give your visitors a unique experience and allows you to establish your brand. You can also purchase a professionally designed blog template and customize the look and feel to your own blog theme.
One of the popular locations to find new blog templates or just review blog styles is Template Monster. The Template Monster blog templates (CMS & Blog Templates) section provide you prices of templates that you can purchase and install to you own blog.
There are many different websites online that offer blogging templates (also referred to as blog skins) for a fee or free of charge. Obviously, if a designer has provided a style and design as a free blog template they will want to have their name listed as the blog designer so that your visitors can see more of their blog designs at their own linked website.
Blog templates often have different features, styles, and layouts so select a template that meets your needs for how you want to display your blog site.
You can often view a live demo of the template for your blog to make sure it’s a fit for your site. If you are not offered a way to demo or preview the blog template, you’ll probably want to pass and find something you can fully review to avoid surprises once you’ve loaded or purchased a new template.
The 'Starting a Blog' blog provides tips and observations related to the site purpose of providing new blog startups with information about beginning a blog. This blog is also utilized to demonstrate recommendations and ideas. Blogs are also becoming excellent personal, business, and corporate communication tools. Come learn with us!

Almost any type of blog template you can imagine has probably been themed by someone. Here are some blog themes to consider. If you find a blog genre that is a close match, you can usually find a blog designer to give you a reasonable design price to customize the specific template to your blog idea.

SOCIAL NEWS!! I am looking to write about social events, good, bad or indifferent about and all on south beach. I would like a template with a look of edgy south beach and not your typical Miami skyline, [which isn't bad at all], but edgyer. ..Is that a word?? Anyway, if you can help me, please do so, I need all the help I can get. Thank you so much,
Sandra

One thing you might try is to just find a blog template that has a strong header graphic. Next, use an image you have taken or purchased of the Miami skyline and run some design filters on your picture. Here’s some skylines and skyscrapers:

Hire a designer to touch up a photograph for your header and you’ll certainly be pleased with the return on investment. Good luck Sandra - let us know what you come up with.
