Twitter is a service that allows people to continually update their status. The service allows users to post about what they are doing throughout the day.
What is Twitter all about?
According to their service description,

At the moment Twitter is having a “technology moment.”

This is expected every now and then when you transmit the amount of data that these folks are handling.

The use of “tagging” gives you one additional dimension to add many keywords relative to your content. Each blog post with the same tag identifier can easily be found by your readers by simply clicking on the tags. I enjoyed this Pureblogging.com guest post by Michael Martine (http://remarkablogger.com/) found on Digg as it gives new bloggers a great perspective of how to view the type of blog posts they may want to write. This also demonstrates the fact that while choosing your blog style and content niche you are likely to be much more successful if you choose a blog subject that you can write as an expert.
There are certainly blogs that are story and opinion related that don’t require an expert knowledge base but readers are always seeking information about topics that come from authors who are familiar with the scope of the subject.
